Stella, eight months pregnant, had her daily life managed by Maddie, as arranged by Rhys. Maddie, influenced by the midwife's words, had always disliked Stella and favored her elder daughter Rita. Even though she lived in Rhys' house, Maddie still had Stella serve her. Rhys left after receiving a call from the hospital. Stella fell to the ground, and at that moment, Maddie received a call from Rita, who had been in a car accident. Maddie hurriedly left after hearing the news. Stella pleaded with Maddie to help her, but Maddie, thinking Rhys would be fine, turned and left. Rhys came out of the ward and saw the backs of Maddie and Rita. Just as he was about to confirm something, a nurse called him. He had to put down his phone and attend to the laboring woman. When Rhys came out of the operating room, he saw that Stella was the one being rushed for emergency treatment. Rhys was shocked and immediately tried to save Stella, but she couldn't be saved. Rhys watched as the white sheet was placed over Stella, kneeling on the ground in deep regret. He had known Maddie was biased but thought harmony at home was more important and didn't intervene, never expecting Maddie to go this far.
