Lilah lost her parents at a young age and was raised in an orphanage. During her childhood, her closest companion was Trevor. They grew up as childhood sweethearts, inseparable and naive, promising to marry each other one day. However, fate took a cruel turn when Trevor's leukemia relapsed. Lilah donated her bone marrow to him, but his condition did not improve. In desperation, his family took Trevor abroad for treatment. Before leaving, he entrusted her with a cherished family heirloom ring, promising they would find each other and fulfil their promise in fifteen years. As an adult, Lilah became a reporter for a major television network, eagerly anticipating Trevor's return to honour their wedding promise.
