Eva had originally been the chairman of the Barnett Group. However, after a car accident on her way home, she disappeared. Rescued by her adopted daughter, Adeline, Eva lost her memory and assumed the name Autumn, struggling to get by as a garbage collector. The combination of amnesia and poverty had worn her down, leaving her with a meek and deferential demeanour. Thirteen years later, to stop Henry, the second son of the Barnett Group, from evicting residents and demolishing homes, Autumn and Adeline faced constant belittlement and shame, unaware that the person humiliating them was her biological son.
