Ramona was abandoned by her stepmother at a young age and taken away by child traffickers, leaving her traumatized and unable to speak. When she was eventually found and brought back home, her stepmother's abuse intensified, while her father, consumed by work, neglected her entirely. In her time of need, her childhood friend Jeffrey stood up for her. However, the emotional strain led Ramona to develop memory loss due to trauma. To protect her, Jeffrey chose not to awaken her memories and instead devoted himself to keeping her safe. As they grew older, tragedy struck when Jeffrey drowned while heroically saving someone. Ramona, now a medical professional, was part of the team that tried to save him but was heartbroken when he didn't survive. Jeffrey became her first patient, and his death left her shattered. Among his belongings, she found the pocket watch she had lovingly given him as a child, a keepsake he had carried all these years. To her astonishment, she realized the pocket watch had the mysterious ability to take her back in time.
