Set in ancient Thebes, Pharaoh Menes searches for his lost wife Neith, who was betrayed, disfigured and imprisoned by his treacherous brother Hemiunu. An impostor seizes the queen's title, while the faceless Neith and their daughter Kiya are cast out. Hemiunu returns to usurp the throne. Menes uncovers the truth, sacrifices his divine power to save Neith, and the two reunite.
