At the family banquet, my adoptive parents announced I must transfer my shares to their “wronged” true daughter. Guests praised their fairness; relatives urged gratitude. My husband Javier gently said, “Give it back. I’ll take care of you.” Instead, I picked up red wine and poured it over the true daughter’s head. Chaos erupted. My father called me ungrateful.
