Karon (real name Zhang Baiyun), a rising star in Chinese short drama acting, was born on November 18, 2000, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He is 184cm tall, a Scorpio, and graduated from the Drama Performance Department of Nanchang University. During his senior year internship in 2023, he entered the short drama industry through a senior's introduction. With his solid foundation in classical acting and physical skills, he quickly adapted to the fast-paced, high-conflict performance style of short dramas, using subtle micro-expressions and original voice acting to create memorable characters. In 2024, he gained widespread recognition for his role as the deeply affectionate and restrained Zhou Congjin in "Stubborn Bones." Since then, he has starred in over fifty hit short dramas, including "Wild Bones and Gentle Hearts," "The Cold Husband Became a Sad Little Dog," "Wedding Night, Burning Out," "Waiting for the Moon to Return to the South City," and "Not Saying Goodbye to the Green Mountains." He excels at portraying characters such as the abstinent domineering CEO, the gentle professor, the cunning young master, and the unrequitedly devoted lover, earning him the reputation of being the "ceiling of husband-like charisma" in the short drama circle. Off-screen, he is introverted, gentle, and emotionally stable; fans affectionately call him "Kapi Bala."
